A Vacheron Constantin boutique in the heart of Paris was stormed by a 15-man gang wielding sledgehammers, baseball bats, and axes on October 4th. According to reports, two well-dressed men entered the store first around mid-day and then held the doors open for their accomplices. Once inside the store, they smashed jewelry counters and windows and made away with approximately 20 watches worth up to $1.6 million USD.
According to witnesses at the scene, the whole robbery took under three minutes to complete. The gang then deployed smoke canisters on the busy sidewalk to ease their escape into the crowds of a busy Paris street.
Two suspects are said to be in custody but the others remain at large, as does the stolen merchandise.
