Nadal Wins Historic 8th French Open with Richard Mille on Right Wrist

Rafael Nadal with Richard Mille Watch

On Sunday, tennis superstar Rafael Nadal became the first player in history to win the same Grand Slam tournament eight times. Nadal is 59-1 at the French Open since he won there for the first time in 2005.

The "Master of Clay" made short work of David Ferrer 6-3, 6-2, 6-3, while once again wearing his trusty $525,000 Richard Mille RM 027 Tourbillon timepiece—a timepiece he first wore at the 2010 tournament.

The watch features a carbon-composite case and lithium alloys, and weighs just 20 grams. That’s less than a third of the weight of a basic Swatch.

Let's hope he has better luck keeping track of it this year; a similar model was stolen briefly last year before being safely recovered by French authorities.
