In the not-to-distant past, I was at the gym when I accidentally dropped my Rolex Submariner No-date 14060M. The clasp seemed a little off so I took it to customer service in the Rolex Building on 5th Avenue in New York City. After a brief explanation of the problem to an attentive representative, the watch was carefully placed on a velvet-laden tray and personally escorted away to a technician on a different floor. Meanwhile I relaxed in the "waiting room" with a magazine. Twenty minutes later the watch was back on my wrist, not only fixed but polished and cleaned. Plus, I was given a brand new Rolex-branded watch cloth. The price for this superlative service? Nothing—it was free.
