We usually spend most of our time talking about Swiss watches and all things related. But you may have noticed that we have a soft spot for German watches, too. Here's a look at our three favorite German watches that were introduced at Baselworld 2013.
Nomos Glashütte Ahoi
This new diving-inspired model is water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet, features a waterproof black fabric strap, a 40-mm diameter case, and will retail for $3,940.
Glashütte Original PanoLunar Tourbillon
This beautiful new timepiece comes in rose gold and measures 40mm in diameter. It's powered by the new German automatic G.O. in-house caliber 93-02, a flying tourbillon, with 48 jewels and power reserve of 48 hours. Other features of note include a see-through caseback exposing an off-center skeletonized 21kt gold rotor and blue screws to hold it in place. The watch comes on an alligator strap.
Mühle-Glashütte M29 Classic
The stainless steel case is 43mm in diameter is protected by anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The movement of the watch is courtesy of the Swiss automatic Sellita caliber SW 200-1 with a power reserve of 38 hours. Dial choices are cream or black accented with either nickel-plated or blackened hands. There's also a choice of a black leather strap or a steel bracelet.
