The Hublot MP-05 was designed in collaboration with Ferrari engineers to accompany drivers in their new LaFerrari super car. The top-of-the-line 1,000 hp Ferrari will go for a cool $1 million.
As usual, Hublot is the antithesis of restraint with this over-the-top watch. The cover is sapphire crystal and the dial is said to be reminiscent of the car's wedge-shaped outline (see below). The case and buckle are crafted from black PVD titanium, with the strap being made from rubber.
The center barrels of the Tourbillon movement are designed to keep the watch going for a record-setting 50 days after each winding There are even so-called cylinders–made with anodized black aluminum inlaid with SuperLuminova markings–to the left and right of the center barrel. These tell the time and indicate power left in the "fuel" tank.
Oh, and only 50 will be made at a rumored $300K a pop.
