Oris has launched a unique new watch at Baselworld 2013 that breaks ground for mechanical timepieces. The new Oris ProDiver Pointer Moon is the world's first to indicate both a tidal range and lunar cycle.
The watch, developed in collaboration with diver extraordinaire Roman Frischknecht, features a large 49mm titanium case, a ceramic bezel, a helium release valve, and is water resistance to 1000 meters/3,300 feet. The caseback includes a meters-to-feet conversion scale.
The Swiss automatic powering the innovative watch is the Oris caliber 761 (base Sellita SW220) with pointer moon function and date display at the 5 o'clock position.
Dials can be chosen to feature either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere tide range indication.
The beautiful presentation case includes tools to swap between the included titanium bracelet or rubber strap.
The watch is priced around $3,400 USD.
