Breguet Edges Out Patek Philippe for Top ‘Brand Status’ Honors

Breguet Logo

The Luxury Institute, a New York-based think tank, says Breguet ranks highest in its annual luxury watch brand status survey of participants earning at least $200,000 per year with a minimum of $5 million in net worth. Patek Philippe finished second, followed closely by Boucheron and Rolex.

France's Boucheron is the only non-Swiss watch brand in the top grouping, while Rolex is easily the best known and most widely purchased.

The ratings are based on a combination of product design, customer service experience, and reputation.

Survey participants reported average income of $682,000 and an average net worth of $14.6 million.

This is nouveau rich money talking. No way that Bregeut, a Swatch Group brand, should be ahead of Patek Philippe, the undisputed Swiss champ.

    watchfreak is delusional.

dont you know that patek, along with rolex, is the most common watch for new rich?

anyway, what’s wrong with swatch? swatch is all in-house. what are you complaining about? in fact they are more in-house than patek! swatch makes EVERYTHING including hairspring. not like patek who outsources parts. it is true.

so dont bash swatch and others like seiko. they are 100% in-house and the most TRUE manufactories. unlike patek who is only 98% true.

  5. What about patek philippe watches? I think that is also a popular luxury brand.
