The 30th edition of the Olympic Games is scheduled to open on July 27th in London. Once again, Omega will be the official timekeeper as it has been for pretty much all modern Olympics. What's new is the technology: this year's stopwatches will measure to one-millionth of a second as compared to one-tenth of a second in the 1932 games.
Meanwhile, 420 tons of watchkeeping equipment will accompany a team of 450 professionals and countless volunteers to make sure everymoment is captured for posterity.
Omega is also launching a series of watches to commerate the games, including the stunning Omega Aqua Terra 44 Chronograph featured in the promotional video below.
