Defying the financial global slowdown, Swiss watch exports jumped 15.1 percent in September, according to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry. The strongest market growth occurred in China with a 47.2 percent year-over-year surge. Other strong markets included Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and the Middle East. The United States and Europe were mainly flat while sales to Japan were slightly down.

This seems very hard to believe to me. I wonder if this is propaganda or hard truth. who is BuYing these watches now, these SWiss watches? i mean there are rich people, yah i get that part, but i don’t think a lot of normal people can afford to be purchasing new watches. i know I AM saving as much as i can because the job front looks pretty scary right NOW.
I have purchased two rolex watches in the past 3 months. I am not worried about the financial situation at all right now. My job security has never been better. I assume there are others like myself who are still buying watches.
