Ex-Executive: Embezzeled Money Used to Buy Swiss Watches

The former vice president and controller of the Hartford-based asset management firm Conning & Company admitted in federal court Monday that he embezzled more than $5 million from the company over the last 15 years.

Jeffrey F. Grous, 44, is accused of spending the money on, among other things, six Swiss watches.
